1. What information do we collect?

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you express interest in our Services, purchase a service, participate in activities related to the Services, or otherwise contact us. This may include:

Sensitive information. We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal information (such as racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs).

Payment data. If you make a purchase, payment is processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment-card details; those are handled by Stripe. Some help us maintain the security of our Services, save your preferences, and assist with basic site functions. 6. Do we offer AI-based products?

In Short: No. ResidencyWorks is a human advising service.

ResidencyWorks does not offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, and we do not use automated or AI systems to analyze, evaluate, or make decisions about the materials you submit. All advising — including review of your application materials, personal statement direction, mock interviews, and rank-list strategy — is performed personally by a former Program Director. Any support staff handle scheduling and logistics only.

7. Is your information transferred internationally?

In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed by us and our third-party providers in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these countries may not have data-protection laws as comprehensive as those in your country; however, we take measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law, including, where appropriate, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. In Short: We keep your information only for as long as necessary, unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). In general, we retain your personal information for no longer than approximately three (3) months after the end of your engagement with us, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your information, we will delete or anonymize it, or securely store and isolate it until deletion is possible.

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the personal information we process. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our security. Transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk.

10. Do we collect information from minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age (or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction). By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to their use of the Services. 12. Controls for Do-Not-Track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature you can activate. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you in a revised version of this notice.

In Short: If you are a resident of certain US states, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing.

We have not sold or shared personal information with third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding twelve (12) months, and we do not process sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics.
