1. About ResidencyWorks & nature of the services

ResidencyWorks LLC ("ResidencyWorks," "we," "us," or "our") provides premium one-on-one residency Match advising delivered personally by a former ACGME residency Program Director. Services may include strategy sessions, ERAS application and personal statement review and direction, mock Program Director interviews, rank-order-list strategy, SOAP support, and related guidance for applicants to U.S. residency programs.

ResidencyWorks is a human advising service, not an automated or AI-powered platform. The advising work is performed personally by our Program Director advisor; any support staff handle scheduling and logistics only.

ResidencyWorks is an independent advising service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the ACGME, AAMC, NRMP, ERAS, the National Resident Matching Program, or any residency program, medical school, or licensing body. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to purchase or use the services. By purchasing, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are buying the services for your own use.

3. Scope of services & what is included

The specific services, sessions, and deliverables you receive are defined by the package or individual service you purchase, as described at the point of sale. Unless expressly stated in your purchased service:

Work outside the defined scope of your purchased service is not included and may be offered, at our discretion, as a separate paid engagement.

4. Payment

All services require payment in full, in advance, before services begin. Prices are shown at the point of sale in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe); we do not store your full payment-card details. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to your purchase. We do not offer installment plans or store credit unless expressly stated in writing.

5. Cancellation & refund policy

Because we accept a limited number of clients each cycle, your payment reserves your place and the advisor's time.

All fees are non-refundable once services begin. For purposes of these Terms, services are considered to have begun at the earliest of: (a) your first scheduled session (whether or not you attend), (b) our delivery of any written feedback, review, or materials, or (c) the start of any work we perform in preparation for your engagement.

Packages are priced and sold as a whole, not as a collection of separately refundable sessions. Declining to use, or not scheduling, sessions or deliverables included in a purchased service does not entitle you to a refund.

Rescheduling & missed sessions. Scheduled sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice, subject to availability. Sessions missed without such notice, or for which you do not appear, are forfeited and are not refunded or rescheduled as of right.

If you have a question or concern before purchasing, please contact us first — we're glad to help you choose the right service before you commit.

6. No guarantee of results

ResidencyWorks provides educational advising and guidance only. We do not guarantee, warrant, or promise any particular outcome, including but not limited to matching into a residency program, receiving interview invitations, ranking, licensure, visa approval, or any specific score, placement, or result. Individual outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own qualifications, performance, decisions, and circumstances, and the decisions of third parties such as programs, committees, and matching organizations.

Any examples, opinions, strategies, or perspectives we share reflect professional judgment and experience; they are not promises of results and should not be relied upon as such.

7. Advisory relationship only

Your relationship with ResidencyWorks is solely that of client and educational advisor. Nothing in these Terms or in the services creates any physician–patient, attorney–client, fiduciary, employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship. We do not provide medical, legal, financial, immigration, or licensing advice, and nothing we provide should be treated as such. You should consult appropriately licensed professionals for those matters.

8. Your responsibilities

9. Intellectual property & confidentiality

Any frameworks, templates, written guides, materials, or methods we provide are our intellectual property and are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with your own application cycle. You may not resell, publish, redistribute, or share them with others.

We treat the personal materials you share with us as confidential and use them only to provide the services, as further described in our Privacy Policy. Our handling of your personal information is governed by that Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResidencyWorks and its owner, advisors, and personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost opportunities, lost income, or lost or delayed application or match outcomes, arising out of or relating to the services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services will not exceed the amount you actually paid to ResidencyWorks for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

The services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind except as expressly stated in these Terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResidencyWorks and its owner and personnel from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the services, or any materials you submit to programs or third parties.

12. Third-party services

We use third-party tools to operate, including Stripe for payments and Calendly for scheduling and video meeting links. Your use of those tools may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of third-party services.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Changes apply to purchases made after the change is posted. Your continued use of the services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your home jurisdiction.
